The Edible Woman by Margaret Atwood is book number five.
I have been meaning to read more of her work for some time, and luckily had one friend who could supply a list of suggestions and another who could supply the actual book.
review: I’m glad I eat a mainly vegetarian diet, as parts of this could seriously put you off food, especially meat. I found it a chilling description of what could happen if you drift into doing the things you think are expected of you. It feels a little unformed or unfinished, and I don’t know if that’s because I read in the introduction it was only the second book Atwood wrote, or because of the vague, drifting inertia of the story.
